During the first world war the British attacked Iraq because Iraq was under Ottoman Empire and they have allied with the Germans. The British took over Iraq on their second attempt and forced a whole new system of government in their favor ignoring the people, anyone who questioned or rebelled was killed which resulted in so many civilian deaths.
In the 30s Iraq became independent (but the British Hashemite monarchy was in effect until the 60s when it was finally over-thrown). During which time Cold War was starting and the Russians made a pact with the Iraq, soon after the leaders were overthrown by some Arabic group which was backed by the United States. When US again does not like what happens Arab Baath Party over throws then current government with US backing.
Saddam came to power with the help of US and Europe. When the Iran-Iraq war started the US, Russia, and France backed Saddam and Iraq which resulted in gassing of the Kurds in northern Iraq. Iraq invades Kuwait which results in Gulf War. US urges UN to put sanctions on the Iraq to help disarm Saddams weapons of mass destruction (which basically US and Europe paid for - estimated close to half a million children alone died because of the sanctions).
Now the United States claimed Iraq was to blame for 9/11 and Saddam has weapons, they invade the destroyed country killing God knows how many people and not find the terrorists nor the weapons.
This is a really ruff history but the Europeans and later United States are playing games with this country completely ****ing over its people just for their own gain, and then everyone gets upset why the hell are these people so mad at us.
Then reading comments that we do not kill people we disagree with, or support our troops, and other comments like that are ridiculous. Iran, Palestine, and most other nations got screwed over by Europe and/or the United States for either military or economical gain. Yet it is somehow their own fault.
