**This will be my complete build thread for my dining room tank from start to finish**

So I can only have 1 tank in my new house and I have to make it show quality. I found someone on CL willing to trade me a "150 gallon glass tank/stand/canopy and vampire fish" for something chrome plated and goes "boom-boom-boom-boom"... I had to go check it out. Not a dime spent but gas out of pocket. ($19) The dims turn it out to be a 135 gallon tank - 72" x 24" 18" but I am cool with that and was stocked when I got to the place and saw the livestock/plants/extras in this tank.

(x1) Fluval 404, (x2) Emperor 400 bio-wheels.

I will have to replace a few panels on the stand, reseall the tank just out of habit and get some better lighting, subtrate etc... but I am pumped either way. :headbang2:headbang2:headbang2

Descriptions and pics below:

The wood from this tank was awesome! Very unique pieces:

The Amazon Sword has a 26" shoot coming from it and the Anubias almost fills a 5 gallon bucket:

Some livestock pics next...

The tank was dirty as all hell which you can see from the pics but here 3 of 5 buckets of fish we pulled from the tank:

The "vampire fish". I'm not sure if it's a L240 Galaxius or an L007 Vampire but it's 9" none the less:

This was a surprise, a 10" ghost knife:

and a ton of "other" amazon fish. Easy 30 but you could not clearly see them over the tank being so dirty....

dang.. thats awesome..... its like having a fully setup aquarium straight to your home.. just clean up and add more fish.... lol..

Also... the 9" pleco... it seems to have bristle coming out... i not 100% positive.. But not a galaxy pleco or vampire.. ..... I believe its either a spotted bristle nose pleco... or a spotted medusa pleco...

love to see pictures of it once the tank is set up...

btw.. what did u trade it for? a bike?

nice pickup ! keep posting pics as things progress

Thanks bro. Can't wait to re-build that stand and canopy. This tank seriously needs less tetras and random fish and to get some Red Head Geophagus! :grinno:

I traded a .40 S&W Baby Eagle Pistol for it. The wife bought me an H&K P2000 SK .357 SIG (awesome wifie BTW) so it was time for that BE to go.

That is for sure no BN or medusa, I breed BN and this fish is too big for either. The colors are just really stressed. The guy told us he had not done a water change in over 3 months....
