I have posted a week or two back that I got a job in a fish store. Well the update about that was the pay was really low and the store was basically going bankrupt . The store owner basically wanted me to be there running the store alone.. as in doing the water changes, help customers, register... just EVERYTHING. That did not work out and I told him no thanks and left.
I found some fish stores in Brooklyn that I have never been to before (great thing about NYC, there are like 10+ fish stores in my area). I came across this one store that was actually clean and I walked in the fish section and the first tank I see is with Red Bellys (illegal here). Take a few steps and see this tank that looked something like 90 gallon that is saltwater with just great healthy coral. I looked the other way and I see this tank that is 100+ gallon with huge cichlids in it including a Red Devil over a foot long.
Store is clean, awesome livestock, and everything looks healthy! I was blown away and RAN to the manager to ask if they got any positions. She said yeah, I gave her my info, and two days later (few minutes ago) she called me and said I got the job!
I am so happy right now! The only thing is... we will have to discuss pay Monday morning (when I start). So things still might not work out... but hopefully everything will go fine. I am in bliss right now.
