I remember reading about people using these in their planted tanks but I don't remember them mentioning their fish. Are they safe for fish. Will they replace both root tabs and excel? Thanks.

you can use the jobes fern and palm but just be careful since it contains urea which is harmful to fish. it will not replace excel. personally when i was just starting out i looked into it but went with other options since i didnt want to risk it.
What about the jobes spikes for vegetables and tomatoes. I believe the water soluble nitrogen is .8% not sure of how much urea.
i believe the fern and palm had the least amount. there are people who use them just have to be aware of the possibilities for trouble.
