My Johana is about 8" now maybe a little more. He is going through a color change that I really like. I didn't catch it real well because he's a little nervous about ventureing to far from his stump with the big Manny their. Although they don't have any real trouble.

He is after a Kens fish food moist krill pellet right in front of him in this one.

Nicely done there Ron!! Gonna be a looker for sure! Although, I think your he might be a she... ;)

I haven't kept any pikes for 18 maybe 20 years. Why do you say its a female. Does the male have a much longer pointed dorsal on the Johana?

Both sexes will get a pointed dorsal and anal...;) ..its the fact that is has a white strip in the dorsal and in the caudual...one of the key indicators that its a female...now all you need to confirm is for its belly to start turnin a pinkish color... ;)

Thanks P_P. I'll keep posting pictures as it progresses unless people start getting sick of all the pictures.

Beautiful fish; those are nice colors. Your pictures always impress me too!
