We have 3 johana's in a 4x4 200g tank and for the last couple of days they have been staking out a corner under a piece of driftwood. Now what I am wondering is will thw 2 that have hollowed out a spot there spawn and raise some fry. Also what signs should we look for and is it even possible or has it been done any help or info will be great. There are other fish in the tank will that matter.

How large are they?

Its really not all the common for Lugubris group pikes to spawn, but it has been done a few times, so its very possible that they might spawn for you. Chances are though that they are just staking their territory and making their home comfortable.

Hopefully they will indeed spawn for you though, that would be awesome! Be sure to get pictures and document you water parameters if possible. Not much is known about spawning them, so all the info you can provide would be splendid. :)

I will keep close tabs on them I always thought it was a lacl of room in most cases . They are not that agressive to each either and their over 10 inches long.
