Can two live together? I have an 8 inch one and a jet black 6 inch one. Will they fight to the death?

what size tank? what sexes? other tankmates? have they been together with other pikes or fish before?
They are in 110 with some severums. Right now, the smaller pike is hiding in the corner. I am just worried they might fight to the death. Dont know the sex but the they are not fat.
