MFK, I am officially out of the cichlid hobby. I joined the forum in 2007 when the mod gr8karma sold me his 360 gallon tank and he reffered me here. Since then, ive learned so much about fish mostly central and south american cichlids. Ive kept umbies, nasties, ornatum, festae, hondo jags and every parachromis around, cubans, islanthum, carpintis, turquoise, chanchos, yellow and blue labs, beani, deppi, wild type snooks, many parratheraps and viejas. I have a 600, 360, 240, and 4 55 gallon tanks, and it was not enough. I think I spread my self too thin amongst too many fish and now im burnt out. Ive sold all my cichlids and im keeping all my tanks and equipment for now, until I decide im back in or out for good.
Not sure if anyone here still knows me, but ive bought, sold traded and joined many group buys with a bunch of you. I hope that if I return in a few years all the above fish are still around. Ill log in once a month if I can to keep in touch with friends. Its been a pleasure.

Man Rambo that is very sad news, its been a pleasure dealing, buying, selling, n talking with you. I sure hope its not quits for good as that would be a valuable hobbyiest out of the game. I hope where ever you venture takes you, you put the same dedication and love into it. GL with everything bro and keep in touch.

aww dont quit , and u always had great deals on cichlids shoot you gave them away practically for free , well good luck with your journey and if u need to sell a cichlid pm anytime

Sucks to see you go. Best of luck and hope you make it back.

Thought of keeping other species than cichlids?

I have been in the hobby since I was 8. I'am now 50 and never got burned out. My secret never keep more than 1 tank or 2 tanks the most. I currnetly have an 85 with a large cactus pleco and school of roseline sharks and some red head tapajos,

I think I know where things went wrong...

Seriously, though - hang on to the tanks if you have the space. You'll be back.
