Well I figured its only right I post not only the positives but the negatives.
Its not been all bad as you will all see, but losing any ray knocks your duck off so to speak in my part of the world, we all get knock backs and I'm no different, I will be a right miserable bugger for a couple of days but then I will brush myself down and go again.
Right now I feel sick to the bottom of my stomach!
My king Hen Pair produced 2 lovely plump pups, both female, one unfortunately must have got stuck which delayed the birth, I found her the right way up in the tank by the side of her sister, only she wasn't breathing, heart breaking when all's gone so well for over 4 months plus only fail right at the final hurdle. I do however have a beautiful new girl.
That was yesterday morning, I came in tonight to find a first time mini marble mother had prematurely delivered, a week too early that's all, one of the pups was untouched but the other ragged, they were a pair, The female I just had to take pics of as she was so beautiful, amazing spots with a distinct line running down her back into the tail, would have loved to have kept her. She still has 1 maybe 2 at her other side that haven't yet been born, fingers crossed she holds onto them a little longer and all is not lost, its unlikely however.
Here are a few pics.
