About 3 years ago my short body green texas T-bone had a batch of fry with another texas that I had to return to the LFS because they were causing chaos in the tank.
Shortly after that T-bone was murdered during the night by my vieja argentea. That hit us pretty hard because T-bone was my girlfriends favorite fish, it was actually the catalyst that caused us to veer away from keeping aggressive fish. All the fry were sold except a few of the bigger ones that I gave to my friends who had aquariums. well 3 years later my friend is shutting down his tank and I am now the owner of T-bone Jr!

he is around 8 or 9 inches and very mellow. I am pretty stoked on this guy.

Overall appearance, but most importantly, a black blotch in the dorsal fin.

the black spot isn't all that prominent here, just based off photo, not saying it doesn't have one. And a 9" Female Short body line size would seem a little large no?

nice carp

just tried to measure up against the glass and she/he is closer to 8 inches then 9. and while T-bone was a short body her mate was not, interestingly the fry were almost a perfect 50/50 split of short body and regular. This particular fish when we gave her/him away at about an inch was a regular looking texas.
