Hi...
I have a 33 Gallon Tank with a pair of Julidochromis Transcriptus. No other fish. I am not sure about the sex of the Julies . But one is big and the other is smaller. Also at night i see them together in the same cave. Today i was able to see the small Juli digging the sand near their cave..
Is it any sign of breeding??? Please help...

Well, I saw a fry today.. just ONE.. He was around 2millimeters in size and dark colored and came outside.. Maybe there will be a few more inside the Cave.

I don't know too much about juli's but most cichlid parents will eat the fry so I would try and remove those or segregate them so you don't lose any fry. Good luck with them :)

Thanks for the replies guys..
But i need a help. There is only one fry there and now i can see that the big julie sometimes stays in another cave. Is it any symptom of Julie divorce . It comes sometimes to this cave. But they are not quarreling or harrassing each other.
Still the small julie is digging sand...

hmmm lol julie divorce? More like he already got some and wants to be left alone ;) jk jk lol. It could be they are just not interested in each other right now or are just being funny right now. All should work out in time and the digging is typical cichlid behavior. Good luck
