I might be getting some Julidochromis Transcriptus Bemba but i dont know alot about it so im waiting till i get some more information on them. I have a thirty gallon tank i will fill with cichlid sand substrate. Any info will be appreciated

Well any general julieschromis information will apply. Sand is great. Some caves for spawning helps. Once the start breeding dont move them.
Mike is spot on about moving them. I had a fantastic breeding pair. Lots of fry, everything was going perfectly.
I inevitably upgraded to a bigger tank, the move broke the bond between the pair. haven't seen any sort of breeding/guarding of a spawning site in over 2 years. Heartbreaking to say the least.

I finally got my pair to breed after a year stop... Gave them time alone and held on water changes for a month, then did a big on with cold water and blam!
Do you have the same WC breedings in other species?
My female yellow comp. will drop her tube with in a day or two of a 30%+ WC. I also see a lot more flashing from my Rainbows and the Barbs are now starting to get a lot more frisky after a WC.
