Jump Cases?

Hi all,

Anyone of you ever encountered your PB tryng to jump out of tank? Is it necessary to have a tank top cover?

I already have tank covers, but am considering removing.

Pls advise!

jdmjunkiemonkie had his tem jump out recently so i would recommend one.

I recommend keeping tanks covered at all times.
Fish may jump if they think they spot some food.
Better safe then sorry!

definitly put covers on. they will jump for no reason sometimes. i have heard countless stories of them jumping out when they get startled or think they see food.

i just had a baby jump ship landed about 6 feet away from the tank and died .. now i have a cover

oh man, ive had an azul, orino, tem and couple monos jump out and my tank was alomt 90% covered the tiniest spaces they will find them.. make sure its full proof.

when did it happend how big was it? sorry for your loss.

It was a long time ago. The fish were only 3"-4" at the time. I've since gotten over it.

I'll admit that I was pretty pissed at the time. Spent an hour holding it upright and moving it around in the sump hoping that it would "wake up".
