I've had my tank cycling for a bit over a month and did a few water test with my local fish store. Everything was good to go so me and my daughters headed over and purchased some red bellys. I only wanted 6 (1' piranhas) but the guy in the store threw in 3 more which bought our total to 9. Hours later we have gotten them into there new tank and I guess the fun begins since I will be maintaining this tank daily because the kids are to you.

Anything I need to watch for and some good feeding tips will help me a lot.

Vary their diet. Try frozen bloodworms, tubifex. See if you can get them to eat some carnivore pellet. Use that as a staple. Throw in some type of worm, shrimp or white meat filet a few times a week. When you wanna see em hunt and eat something live get em some guppies or goldfish, not a good diet but its ok every once in awhile.

And oh yeah....prepare for some casualties no matter how much you feed em. How big is your tank?

Are you shure they are p's i have heard of stores lying to clear pacu stock

I'd go straight to bigger foods diced up. White fish, krill,& shrimp. Silversides, trout worms, pellets also. Imo they eat better being fed once a day. Don't overfeed to point food is left.
