noticed some extra movement in my rubbermaid sump the other day, saw this.

Looked like a beani, but the beani tank is across the aisle from the sump.

Beani tank is about 3 ft across the aisle from the rubbermaid, upper left in the pic.
fished her out today, don't really know how long shes been in the sump, nice little female is now in with the male, divided of course.

he's got a female on each end of the tank.

by the way, I think it's interesting how similar she is to a female bartoni a close cousin, below

that's a neat story & pics of how far she went :-)
I think she deserves a name.

The dominant beani females were only about 2" when they 1st turned dark, and spawned not long after.
The bartoni are also only about 3".
And I agree she does probably deserve a name after her trek, I'm leaning toward Faun (bunny Lewbowski) Knutson.
The male is quite smug surrounded by females.

nice, she does look a lot like a female bartoni..
what size was she when she developed the darker colors on her bottom half?

If she's Faun, she'd need to have lost part of her pectoral fin in the ordeal... and you'd needed to have chilled with a White Russian afterward... ;)

Caucasians are on ice, burgers from the In n Out, and there is a slight bit missing in the green area of that pectoral, in fact, as it turns out (in the parlance of our time) she kidnapped herself.
