So i just got home from work to find one of my fish dead on the ground. Now instead of 2 monos and 2 tems i just have 2 tems and a mono. I think i missed him by just a few minutes, as he was still wet and there was no rigor :-( . So I guess its just a good reason to try and find me a nice little orino.

Bugger, that's why I keep the lid on now, it looks crap when the mist and condensation builds up, but at least it keeps the fish in.
i think im gonna wait on snookn21 (john i think his name is) since hes about an hour drive from me ill just go get them as soon as he gets some. maybe a kelberi or somethin instead.. all i know is i have tems and a mono so i dont want a mono or a occel but definately do want another cichla.
i have a lid. actually just bought bigger lids than i had before yesterday so now theres only about a 1" wide gap for them to get through and he found his way through it. I believe he was chasing a stray shrimp because there was a dead shrimp (also wet) next to the fish.
sorry to hear that dude! I lost one of my tems through a small crack between the glass canopies and the tank lip a few weeks ago! It sucks!
yeah it really sucks losing a pet. on the other hand I have managed to get looked down on by other customers at the pet shop lately when I go in and ask for a dozen or two goldfish as feeders haha. Seems like every time i buy feeders now theres someone there who says "fish are friends not food" and i cant help but think "if you saw my fish you would agree with me"
