The deep south
just picked up a 15'' Jardini, hes in a 300 gal. stock tank and persisently attempts to jump out, usually directly where i am standing or sitting.. do you think this is massive aggression or is it normal? i've read stories of fish escaping but this fish is just relentless. There are no tank mates and i thought this would be a suitable space for one fish. any advice? (already have a tight net on top) i had to do something ha ha

aro's jump. that's what they do. build a lid.

it's always a given when you have an arowana in a tank to put a tightly sealed lid.

my silver jumped out...then i put a plexi glass top on...could not be able to see the net top, put a visible top on it and it should slow the jumping down...my silver lived after over 8min on the floor...

take a volt meter and check for stray currents, this may make him irritated more then usual and once you eliminate them could calm him down.

you would need an amp meter to test for current
