Wanted to know what you guys thiink. Are Reds jumpers and on a scale of 1-10, 10 being highest how much do they attempt to jump out?
This is 1 of my fears as I'm returning to the hobby. Have any of you experienced your p's especially reds getting out through a space maybe in the back or the front that wasn't covered as well as should've been?

THX!

When I first started piranha tank I have a 125gallon old style tank which doesn't have any center brace. all open on top and I don't even put cover on it. I hang the light from the ceiling.

I have about 6-7" full grown mix pygo in there for a very long time. Never see they jump or try to. But I am not saying they won't..

No :), Not jumpers . The only way I see it happing If its being chase/threatened by other tank mates or scared/startled and flops out . I give them a 1

i had a 55g with no cover long time ago and i had a 6" red jump out. by the time i saw him he was dried up.

theres a chance for reds to jump the tank just as master k said, by being chased or fighting with another tank mate.

i read a story on p-fury about a caribe jumping out the back and landing in the overflow box, and the owner thought he was eaten. he then noticed the caribe still there weeks later.

''jumpy'' not jumpers.
