Will they have a smaller chance at jumping if I have half or 3/4 of the pond covered with hyacinth?

But the thing is everybody is going to be at work and nobody is going to be home. I don't want such a beautiful fish jumping out and dying.i sold an arowana to a guy that had about 8 ponds filled with arowanas and koi. he didnt have any covering or water plants at all. He did tell me that one of his 2 ft aros jumped out once but he just put it back in.
MY cameras broken right now but the pond is oval shaped. 10 foot length, 5 and a half foot width. 3 feet deep. I also have a 4 inch RTC, one 4 inch blue channel cat, and two 4 inch ID sharks in there if it matter. Can you please put up a picture of your pond? it'd be easier to comment that way.. cheers..
Common sense tells me that asking other more experienced members to help me with a certain issue.Arowana jump. Apply that knowledge along with some common sense.
OK here is you answer then. Unless you put a solid weighted cover over your pond, arowana can jump out and die. Plants will not prevent this. If it is a risk you are willing to take then go for it, I'm sure the LFS will sell you as many arowana as you need.
