I've seen & heard stories about jumping arowanas but I wonder if there's only a single aro in the tank without any distractions, will it still jump?
Also, the fact that they manage to jump so accurately through tight openings is really astounding..

Single or multiple ...arowanas jump.... put a weight on the top.. if he is small tape up all holes.. no matter how insignificant... they manage to jump through... good luck.. as long as you are aware... and do this.. your arow will be fine..

Lost my first aro because I didn't weight down the lid good enough. Never made that mistake again. Now Houdini couldn't get out of the tank. Wood plank across the lids with 20pds of weights on top securing it down and no holes or openings in the tank.

Yup, when I had my first Jardini, there was a small hole in my lid used for old piece of equipment...I NEVER thought he would know it was there, let alone jump through it! Came home from work one day and saw my tank fishless. There he was dried up on the floor, I was shocked and sad. I would never make that mistake again, I leave no way out and secure the lid.

yeah its like built in plus they may jump after flies etc eve n if its a hallucination
