Hi.... i have an 11" arow in a 120g (48x20x28) and every time i turn the lights on in the morning he has missing scales and scrapes on him.... there is nothing that will disturb him during the night....he is never jumpy in the day....he always comes to say hi to everyone who looks at the tank....i dont know whats up...i have wittnessed it before he jumps gets stuck on the glass support and flaps about until he plops back into the water...i dont want him to get stuck and die.... HELP! please :D:confused:

Make your tank as safe for him as you can, also try using the blue LED moonlites for night time. My silver and black both seem to do better if not left in total darkness.

as bderick already stated, dont leave him in total darkness @ night.
u can also try this...
1. lower the water so he cant reach the top ( highly unlikey tho )
2. put something soft before the canopy like what i use...
i use the trasparent plastic that have air in it that u can pop ( dont know what its called)

Yup

perhaps the tankmates may be bumping into it at night, causing the jumpy behaviour.

I'd agree that having some lighting at night would be best if that's the case.
