Junior angling questions

I'm thinking about starting to join the junior bass federation. I'm just wondering what you guys think about tackle.. Do you think it is better to join and slowely gain more tackle or skip this season and buy save money and buy a bunch at once? Any other tips for tournament fishing? I know there is a lot to learn but any tips can help me.

I would advise that you slowly gain tackle as you go, mainly because if you just go out and drop a bunch of money on tackle when you havent fished all that much yet there is a good chance that you won't use all of what you bought. Going out, fishing and getting tips from people will also give you a better clue as to what to buy in the future. I see your from CT, I used to be part of a tournament club in CT called the Litchfield County Worm and Jig Club. You could probably join up and tournament fish with them, there's alot of really smart guys with tons of experience that can help you, and its tons of fun.

Thanks bro. I was thinking of Doing the rhode island junior bass federation tournaments. But I'll check out that club. I'm in mystic/Groton so litchfield is very far.
