I have a 6' long 125g with lots of driftwood containing the following:

5 clown loaches about 2.5 - 4"
2 Nicaraguensis cichlids (male & female)
2 green severums 4"
1 gold severum 6"
2 Angelfish 3"
1 Firemouth 2"
6 congo tetras
6 black skirt tetras
1 jurapari about 5"

My jurapari is showing some aggression and picking on one of the smaller severums. My gold severum is also becoming more aggressive. Suprisingly the nicaraguensis have been very peaceful. Is my tank too crowded and that causing the aggression? Any suggestions on what I should get rid of. My gold severum is growing much faster than the green and appears to dominate the tank. For the most part the tank is peaceful. It is well filtered and maintained. What do you think of my fish selection?

if the aggression isnt to the point where there is significant stress I would wait a little, as the growing severum will probably be too much for the jurupari too really push around. How much aggression is it showing?

Yeah, I agree. The jurupari doesn't really stand a chance once the sevs get bigger. Matter of fact I'd watch it since jurus can be kinda relaxed. Like the tank selection. One question, is this a new tank or new fish?

Jurapari will hold their own until they are outgrown. So once the Sev and others get some size the Jurapari will definitely calm down. You got a full tank shot? Sounds like a nice mix!

The tank is about six months old and most of the fish are new. The pleco was moved from my 90g tank. I upgraded my 90 to 125. Currently have 125, 90,39. The 90G holds Oscar, JD, Firemouth, Salvini. That tank has been relatively peaceful with some mild fighting between the Jack and the Salvini. Was thinking about moving the Nics into the 90g and getting rid of the oscar. That would make my 90 a pure CA tank except for the pleco.
