Jurassic Fishes By Haruto Kodera, et al., Tfh Pubns Inc (November 1994)? I am tracking down a copy and trying to acquire one now but I was wondering if anyone had a copy if they might be able to give me a rundown of the Table of Contents?

Great book, one of my favorites in my small library of aquarium and fish books..All species of arowana are covered including the distant relation butterflyfish..Then it is on to the knifefish, mormyrids, abba abba, polypterus and the bowfin. There is an identification section on each fish as well as instructions on how to care for them and there is even discussion on breeding some of the fish that are covered.Once you find it,you may find that some of the info may be outdated but the photos in this book are still top notch in my opinion.....

amazon, 15$ used or 237$ new? Where is the cheapest place to go>?

also what other books are out there that dont just have cichlids and saltwater fish>? im interested in rays, dats, geos, and anything MONSTER!

Look into Jumbo Fishes and TankBusters.

Can you elaborate on the species found in Jumbo fishes a little?

I found info on tankbusters.. "This book doesn't have an overwelming amount of fishes profiled, but all the 'Tank Buster' favorites including Snakeheads, Arrowana, Pacu, and Redtail cats. Great photos accompany each fish. Definetly a must fan for fans of large and aggressive fish."

Gahardy sorry for the derail, just figured maybe you would appreciate some other great books too! I know after you got my attention with Jurassic Fishes, I just wanted to see how many other decent books there were.

I was going to suggest this one to the OP as a companion to Jurassic Fishes. It was also published by TFH,but is a little heavy on cichlids(I know you covered that earlier:ROFL:)but it also covers catfish, pirahnas, giant gouramies and even datnoides. It is a thicker book but not as long and wide as Jurassic.

Did you get the book yet, what do you think of it?
