Jurense with rtc?

Would a jurense cat be ok housed with a red tail? It's already about 10" and I have heard they reach around 2'. Does this have a chance of working or will it just end up expensive rtc dinner?

My RTC grew to 24" from 3" in his first year. When I had my Jur it grew 10" in it's first year.

If you get the RTC it will out grow it in a year with a 16" jur, and jurs are not very bulky= snack

When they are both adults, ~2' jur and ~4' RTC, in a large enough enclosure of at least 10,000 gal, they may be fine. As long as the jur can fit in the RTC's mouth, even approximately, I'd say it is a high risk, especially in a relatively small tank.

Ok thanks, the tank will be big but I don't have to space for 10,000 gallons unfortunately lol so i think the jur will have to go eventually
