Hey guys I wanted to share some pics of one of my favorite fish here's my juruenese. I got him around 3"-3.5" and had to hand feed him shrimp now he's currently 5.5" strong with a 7" trailer. Incredible growth rate hoping to see some pattern changes soon or not doesn't matter. He has kind of a weird deformed nose IMO but here he is

Looks good, jaws has one so may be able to have an opinion on his nose...

Nice jur. They like to perch on stuff, ur seems to be fond of the heater. Id arrange the heater in a away so the he wont be able to, dont want the cat to get burned.

Only have ever kept 1 so not much experience but yours does have some difference in the shape of its snout compared to mine....awesome jur never the less.

Thanks I've been creeping on your thread checking out your Juruense haha. Mine usually likes to hang around the air stone by the powerhead then here and there it'll perch on the heater. I will be replacing it with a titanium heater w/ controller sometime next month so I can remove the other two heater. His face is a little bit shorter than others I've seen including my brothers but I believe it might be deformed or cramped idk. He was the biggest out of the pack and he came up to the glass for me haha.

Still looks great, nothing wrong with a bit of extra character, it's not like it looks nasty. I think it looks cool that way tbh, chunky.

Likely just deformation. Jurs are typically to skittish AFAIK so don't think it'd be from banging its nose but still a possibility. Wonder if they're being farm bred now. You should add maybe a center piece dw for him.

I am possibly looking for a nice piece of DW but I'm so lazy to cure it and I don't want to deal with tannin but I will definitely look into it. Man my juruenese is the King of the tank he bullies everyone

Check out thebiggerthebetter thebiggerthebetter thread on jurs. He used pvc pipes and flat stones as perches
