as per title! will the two be okay together for a short while in a 5ft x 1.5ft x 2ft while i wait for my 7ft x 3ft - the giraffe i have is 9-10" while the juruense at the lfs is roughly 6".

They should get along for now as neither are that agressive if given enough room but as they grow you will need something much larger than a 7' tank for either one, much less both fish. I kept 2 giraffe cats to 13" with a 14" juruense and there weren't problems as the giraffe's ate pellets and the juruense ate live feeders so there was no competition for food and neither seemed too territorial. I think the juruense was sometimes annoyed by the giraffes rooting around the gravel at times but no fighting occured between the species but all were sold before they got much larger...

Juruense will grow to 24", the giraffe even longer. I've seen posts where some people's giraffe catfish can be bullies once they feel they can rule the tank, their active nature can be disruptive to other tankmates unless there's lots of room in a huge tank...
looks like juerense is in and girraffe is out lol! soon ill have a 7x3ft so the jau (is that right?) should be fine in there - it will be lightly decorated - large piece of bogwood in each corner.
i can see a big problem at the moment mind you as both of them get bigger they probably wont get along

The jau is a nickname for the Zungaro Zungaro, which gets as big as the RTC. Definitely dont confuse that with your Juruense which is much more managable than one of those beasts. 7x3 would be great for that cat.
