Went and bought a card reader to replace my cord that I lost. So here are some long awaited pics of my catfish. Some are a few weeks old and some are from just the other day.

BTW can anyone tell me if I am spelling it right? When I search it I get Juruenese and Juruense.

Oh one more thing...

Here is my favorite picture of him. That is officially his sign. The Prochilodus will always knock it down and when he does the catfish perches on it.






This is one when I first bought him. You can see how skinny he was.

Here he is as of the other day. You can see he has filled out more.


 
It's Brachyplatystoma juruense. I get annoyed when people spell it wrong. It changes the way the species' name sounds entirely. It's not jurunese, juruenese, or many of the other ways people mispell it.

Nice fish. I am going to have to pick one up soon for the 300.

You really should. Mine never attempts to hide whatsoever.
My second attempt at this fish ended with him getting threw my divider and my bigger dats got ahold of him but he was constantly swimming at the top, never going down to the bottom to rest. This one rarely goes to the top.

Cool, unfortunately he would have to live in the 135 gallon growout until he catches up to the peacock bass and marbled catfish' size lol.
