juruense water temp

Any one kept one at 86f, I want to keep with my PBass grow outs but I know this is a little higher than their normal range? Brachyplatystoma juruense, golden zebra pim

I wouldn't keep my pbass at 86 at all times but you can if you're providing plenty of O2. I would shoot closer to 82-83. You could keep the Juruense in there but you will need a ton of oxygen in the water for it to stay happy in those temps (multiple air stones and good turnover)

I had a Juru a few years back at 5-6". 10 months later I sold it to All-Happy at 16"!

Temp was 85+ (summer was brutal, 88-90*) w/lots of o2 and lots of current. Fed daily

Seemed happy w/me.

Thanks West! On the other note we can debate Cichla temps in the Cichla forum were 90% of every one there will agree with my temps for grow outs......
