My 3 inch long catfish has Ich. Is their anything special I need to do to treat it?

I don't have a quarantine tank for it and I would rather not buy a over priced tank at a pet store just for this purpose. Can I use a buck with a HOB filter?

He lives in a 130 gallon tank, I want to remove him and treat only him then the entire tank.

Input is greatly appreciated.

Okay so I found most of the answer to my problem. I put in a heater for my tank and am raising the temp to 85 degrees.

Now I'm going to buy some salt today, but I don't know if my fish are able to handle it. Can someone atleast aswer this?
