jurunese question

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think so.
I put a powerful powerhead in my Jurus tank a while back, and it spends all day perched on a piece of bogwood directly in the flow. It loves it!

And not sure why, but I have seen a huge growth spurt since he has been doing this.

how big r ur pbs? the pbs may mistaken ur jurus as feeders...
best not to comm them nw.
Add a heater to your tank as small catfishes are very prone to whitespots.

I had better luck when I grew my Jur out in a qt tank , so I could change water frequently as I power fed him and weaned him off feeders... He's about 16" now not counting trailers. ( he's currently in with an L330 , L24 and a 10" gld Sev)

With food aggressive fish such as pbass and oscars when small he might be out competed for food in a community tank .

Pick up a 55 off of craigslist and keep your Jur in that until he starts growing. I dont know why but 5-6 " seems to be the critical point with them.

On another note I'd only keep one Jur in a tank no need to buy 2.. my 2 cnts

They are a great looking cat, good luck

your jurunese will eat the little pbass and if you get two have two tanks as thay are solitary catfish
