I have owned these three Jurupari for the past two or three years now. Never had any problems with them. I recently went out and bought some other Satanopercas and Geos and one of them gave all the others ick. I treated the tank, unfortunately it was too late and all my fish died except the three original Jurupari. They have nothing wrong with them visiblely. They have been acting fine for the past wk now. I have two males and one female. For the first time yesterday the two males started fighting for the first time since ive owned them. But this morning when I came in they were all three curred out in the corner of the tank. They wont move around at all and the two males have very dark coloration. Breeding colors ide assume. They will eat but will not move at all. Are they sick or does this have something to do w/ them needing or wanting to breed and im not providing the right environment for them or something? Idk but here are some pics. The first one is from yesterday w/ the males locking. The other two pics are from today about 15 mins ago where the have stayed and continue to stay in that same corner. Hope this is familiar to someone. thx again

looks like something just spooked them. I think way too small for breeding.

Thing is ive done nothing different than ive ever done. But ya, that is exactly how they are acting. Spooked! and more defined lining/coloring than ive ever seen. And Ive never seen the dark dark black around the gill area either.
