oh and they are in a 4ftx20x18" tank.
6.8 ph.
27 degrees celsius.
with driftwood and wamaru rock.
and a littile javafern.
with 1 orange spot bristlnose, 1 albino bristlenose and 1 common bristlenose

Definitely add some sand, they aren't called earth eaters for nothing.

They've got some intense iridescent spangling, so I'm actually leaning towards leucosticta. I have two leucos and three juruparis, and if the spangling intensifies, and the slanting lines on the face disappear, you have leuco.

You can get them for 20$ each. but they are not as easy to get from a private breeder. 40 each is okay .... haha. ah well they are mad looking fish.

Yeah im set on leuco's ..

They may be too small to tell yet ... but from those pics seem to be lacking the tell tale spotting on the cheeks for leuco's ... which would indicate true juru's ... but they do look tiny.

Ya nice looking juruparis i had 2 at one time, dont mix with african cichlids one did ok for a while the other didnt last, picked up mine for about $19 each both died ooooops
