Just a dumb question. What is a wet pet

As title says. I see it alot on threads. I consider all my fish pets. I mean I am not creepy about; but any way what is the difference?

A wet pet is a more interactive, owner fociused fish. Usually a solo fish, that knows the owner and reacts accordingly...

Like a dog with scales and fins, more or less..

Something like an Oscar. They recognize you and will follow you, your hands, etc and with that just have a personality. Not just a fish who swims back and forth not paying any attention to you or the surroundings.

30" hand fed tsn prob my personal fav. He greets me whenever i walk up to his 1700 pool. Its entertaining when i have guests to watch him snap/gulp air and be pet on the head.

Don't leave out the inverts! My crayfish is also a wet pet. The 2" white spotted hermit crab in the SW tank is also a wet pet
