so, im constructing a coldawater marine nano and collected a few algea specimens,

can ne1 id them for me?

what kind of ligthing do they need? will they be ok without light from a hood?, only indiriect sunlight and room lights? the white was collected from the shade under a bridge and the red was dredged up from 15 feet under water......

plus, i got a sponge today and anj wondering what it needs, its a filter feeder right do light shouldnt matter........

red is probably a form of gracilaria.....
the sponge might not have been the best choice.... they cant touch air and need ALOT of food...i havent seen anyone with longterm succsess with sponges...
