i have a pair of breeding jags, a male around 11" and a female around 8". they have bred around 5 times, and everytime they do the fry die off. im running a cannister filter and i think the fry are getting sucked in through the intake. does anybody have any ideas on ways to block or filter what goes through? i have tried attaching a stocking but it tends to clog up within a day or so. and what to people feed their fry? i have been using baby brine, but there must be other things as well... any help would be much appreciated

if you can find the riht kind of sponge, you can use that to cover the filter intake. you can feed baby brine and, as the get older, finely crushed flakes.
