Just some info about the Marineland Stealth Pro Heaters .. i just got off the phone with dr foster and smith and was told they are NO longer carrying these heaters because their heaters failed and the Marineland company recalled them all.. so if you have any recent purchases and they don't work properly or your nervous about any issues with them that may pop up.. {mine went crazy one overheated , two failed completely.. and the rest of them we are replaceing..so Watch the Marineland heaters.. they are faulty....

The issues with Stealth heaters have been going on for years - I had one overheat and rupture two years ago.
I received this letter in the mail regarding the recall:
It's too bad they were still selling these heaters until recently, as Marineland admittedly knew they are defective.
It is good that you created this thread Liz, as a lot of people may not have heard about the recall or the dangers of using these heaters (overheating, rupture, and even several explosions).
