I notice my motoro swimming up the side of the glass a lot and I'm wondering if this might be a sign that I need to feed her more or if its something else. She is about a foot in length and I feed her what would equate to about 4 market shrimps a day....is that not enough?? What kind of appetite is a ray of her size supposed to have??

sounds normal to me...

what are ur water parameters?? .. just to be sure

motoros are always hungry by the way ;) unless there's something wrong..

0 ammonia
0 nitrite
10-30 nitrate depending on where I am in my water change schedule

Is it normal for a ray to swim up the glass a lot?? Makes me think she might not be happy for some reason.

most of the time...yes it is normal, only problems i could see is lack of oxygen..

what kind of filtration u got?

any power heads or airstones?

whats the surface of the water like?

I have an strip airstone on one far side of the tank, two airstones in my sump, and I also have dual overflows.
