Very much south..
I have a couple of FH ( i am sure low grade Rd Dragons ) but the point being that they made a couple and are behaving like they want to breed.

Now, they are small ( not even the size of a convict ) and my question is whether letting them go ahead and starting sex life will stunt their growth.

I do not particlarly worry about the girl, but I like my males on the big side.

What say you?

That is your, respectable, opinion, but does not address my point.

Will it stunt the fish's growth, the adolescent breeding?

no,i dont think one time breeding will stunt their growth as the female wont lay eggs until she has some eggs ready in belly which does not form before adolescence IMO and after that she will already grow slow as the food provided will be converted into eggs than in increasing growth.so,i think that even u dont let them breed, the growth will be very slow if they breed or not but the case of male is different which may result in stunted growth

It wont affect the male as much but spawning the female will get her breeding cycle started and it will affect her growth. She will start producing eggs instead of using her energy for growth.

Thank you guys. It is logical, in fact, that energy spent one way is energy not used in another.
