hi all

i have no tank yet but was wondering on just the idea. would a rainbow snakehead, sengal/delhzi bichir (havent yet decided) a GT and a Pike (lives in mid water maybe 2 spot) live together forever? would i need a bottom feeder/scavenger if i fed sparingly? they all grow to about 20cm apart from the bichir so there should not be too much preditation. what would be the minimum tank size? would i need live plants for cover?

thanks, im a bit of a newb when it come to fish keeping, but i know enough to care for the fish i own and the fish i am looking to own.
sorry for all the questions!!
Matt

P.S i'm in England and snakeheads are legal so don't say you cant have one lol!!

lol that made me smile thanks

surely if i got them all as juviniles then agression would be less,as they have grown up together?

thanks
Matt

its the GT that worrys me. is there a fish that anyone can reccomend that is a CA/SA cichlid, 20cm long, colourful, live in the top 2 thirds of the tank and can hold its own if something decides to attack it.

thanks
Matt

Even when you pick fish up as juvies...they change when mature and the trouble starts...To be honest...the tank stocking plan your preposing sounds iffy at best.

You might get away with it for a while in a large enough tank...(180 or 300 gallon) because the fish could all establish thier own areas in the tank. Eventually however problems would develope.

As the size of the fish grows .. so will their territories... there wouldn't be any space left and soon ... it's war LOL ... I personally wouldn't try that as I don't beleive you'd even get away with it long enough to see some of them mature...

The horror would actually be fantasic to see... sorry for the day dreaming ...I doubt that you'd have a problem free tank

O.K, thanks

at least your being honest, i'd rather hear about it now than see a bloodbath! il have to rethink any idea who the majour culpirts would be?

thanks
Matt
