umm, why is it ALWAYS my animals that are the weird ones? YES! My Silver is most definately nocturnal. I turn out the lights and he goes nuts hunting, killing, splashing, thumping, even when he has a nightlight . Mine is sedintary when the main light is on for his tanning., then he pops to the top and is still until It gets darker again.

my guys sleep at night. they're less active at night.

guess you've get yourself a wierd one. but is there anything that's spooking your fella at night? a simple flashing light or shadow is enough to spook them during the night.
