Hello All,

New to the posting game so here I go.

I have a big Jag cichlid and rather just buying feeders i was looking to just breed something easy to feed them with the babies. I have a 29 Hex tank that I can use to breed fish. Anything that would be easy to breed in that type of tank?

Maybe Convicts?

Thanks for any help.

Not only will you need a tank for the parents to breed in but you will also need multiple grow out tanks to raise the fry to a size that will make a decent size meal.

Danios, Kribnesis, Live Bearers can be breed in a 29 gallon.

Keep it simple....Substrate is not needed....Just crack a potting pot in half and lay both halves on their sides on opposite sides of the tank bottom.....Purchase a a male and female.....Preferrably over one inch long...I have had half inch male/female raise broods.....Maintain temp a 80-82.....feed a variety of foods(no necessary).....Seperate the fry one week after hatching into growouts....

I see. I might have to hold out on this idea until i find more space for these new tanks..haha

Thanks for all the Advice. It will really help a lot.

Thanks
