this is just what is in store for you if someone else is looking after your tanks and you are out of station on the week days
i have most of my previous tanks, 14 of them in a different city, as i work in out of station. thus my brother does the feeding and taking care of lights for my tanks.
so last week wednesday he is too tired and doesn't wanna bother with the tanks, doesn't switch on any lights, but does feed the fish. so it is the same on the thursday and so on friday.
the feeding is done at night, so he never sees what is happening in the tanks, as the lights haven't been turned for the past three days.
what he doesn't notice is that the junction box to which the lights and the filters of my 220g, 180g and the 30g are connected is not working, from when?, don't know.
so my tanks run with no filters but with the same amount of feeding, for more than 2 days(atleast i can be quite certain about that).
saturday i get a call at 5am when i am packing to leave, he says that i lost
1 18.5" jardini (1.5 years)
1 19" F1 green arowana (1 year)
4 5-7" nandopsis tetracanthus(cuban chiclids) (1.5 years)
1 6" red texas (1 year)
1 5" female red devil (10 months)
1 5.5" male salvini ( 1 year 2 months)
2 8-9" synodontis ocell ( 9 months)
this is the biggest loss in fish i have ever had to face

couldn't say anything for the whole day, got drunk, and stayed drunk for the till the next day.
to look on the bright side, i am redoing both my big tanks.
and this was the last pic i took of my jar

i am gonna miss this brute for a long long time
