Thanks, I much prefer a natural look in tanks and I think/hope it's going to suite the channa perfectly

get some frog bite and it will be a great channa tank

Get some duckweed, pistia striotes, hornwort or water hyacinth to create some floating cover so that when the channa go up for air they will feel safe.

As stated some duck weed would work easy,but you have to care for it to ensure it does not take over, that tank looks awsome mate,could see some of my ornatipinnis in there quite happily,hehe
