Alrighty then, tank is cycled, I have 4 redhooks in there at the moment and three bags acclimatizing for another three minutes :)

I got two nice ebjds and three chocolate cichlids, all at 2 inches.

Im aware of ebjd issues, Im at 10 nitrate, ammonia and nitrite are at zero. They are nice feisty specimens, I'll upload pics tomorrow after theyve had a chance to settle in a bit. I have my 5" bgk coming next few days, and possibly a super red sev.

Im pretty excited, this is the tank and stock Ive wanted for years, and its finally here.

Updates to follow.

Curious as to how you cycled the tank? Hope you have better luck with ebjd than I do, lol.

I primed the water and turned on the heater and hob filters, ran that way for three days, then added four small redhooks and started with seachem stability, and added two 125 gallon rated seeded sponge filters, one with bubbler other with powerhead as well as driftwood and rocks from seeded tank. Three weeks later I built up to a nice cycle, added 6 small cichlids then a week later three more.

I decided to get rid of the redhooks, they werent worth keeping after all, I planned on keeping them but they dominate the space and food and I want to enjoy ma babies growout without them.

Pics to follow.

I thought I liked the red hooks when they were alone, but now that my ciclids are in, theyre just too much. Theyre going back to the lfs today.

Edit: tank is still bare bottom with slate and driftwood thats not waterlogged yet, so it doesnt look how its going to in a few months.

Oh, and the stock is: 3 each chocolates and ebjds, two severums, and a BGK coming tomorrow, or maybe this afternoon.

Nice looking EBJD's. Mine is going on almost 3". Very delicate fish for some reason. However they are well worth the work. With out a doubt my favorite fish. I am ready to get him in a 125. Dont be concerned if you see you goldish colorations on them as they will do that. Nice looking fish.

Very nice looking EBJD's :)

Thanks guys, Im just going to keep nitrates low, and the fish healthy and I hope they make it. They seem fine, although not as eager feeders as my chocolates and severums.

I dont rember where i read this but it stated that ebjds should be kept at lower temps when they are small...may have been another keeper on mfk. Nice stock but the chocs and sevs are gonna out grow those ebjds quickly. You have allot of big fish in there keeping nitrates under control is gonna be a chore

Yeah at the moment I do, theyre still fairly small and as they get bigger I will rehome some or set up another tank.
