soooooooooooooo, when we moved i drained the 30 hex down to about 5 gallons and we moved. during the moving in i added air to the tank and went about hooking up stoves, bla, bla, bla. so i notice that the tank seems great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! has about 15 gallons in it live rock just barely to the waters surface. I was running a 150 skimmer and a magnum 350 on it since the seahorses, and thought i was good but the tank looks 1000x better now!there is a yellow damsel and a valentine puffer in there, had bought crabs that i had thought were gone but have seen 2 now. guess theres no point heer but im not gonna change it and will post pics if wanted but found this amazing!:nilly:

Congrats. Lets see pics.

how many lbs per gal would you say would be enough? generally speaking of course because I realise it depends on tank size and stocking and probably a few other things too I guess

at least a pound of quality established LR per gallon.. more is better, to a degree

I've been running a reef with one strong powerhead no air flow alot of rock and even more sand, 2 in crushed coral bed topped with 4 in sand "6 in bed " this has been going for years
