Okay you should find out more, but I know you need slightly acidic water, and you should get a vertical rock, or perhaps an Amazon sword plant for the pair to lay their eggs on. Once the babies consume their yolk sacs, feed them something like infusoria or paramecia. Good luck.
Maybe they aren't compatible. You should get 4 or 5 together and let them pair off. My water is very alkaline and they breed so in my opinion stability is more important but if you can provide acidic water it would be better. Any fish is more likely to be happy and you will have better luck breeding them if you can simulate the correct water parameters for the fish' natural environment.
