john never disappoints. Damn we rly do have similar taste in fish. I actually thought bought getting those xanto/gray chubbies as well. No experience with xantos, any guaranteed that xantos will turn gold 100%, or even revert back to gray?

lolll, ur not asian r u? we both keep datnoids, flagtails, clown loaches, tigrinus, clouded archer. just out of curiosity, what filtration u have on the 170? i just have 2x AC 110s packed with ceramic rings

Of course, Chinese. C'mon 888!!! Running a simple 40g sump with lots of biomedia, filter sock, also a large sponge filter (w/ battery pump) within the tank as a backup to outages. I'm very small scale, compared to these OG monster keepers. Btw, I lost the 22" tig, 8"-16" Dats, lots of my monster loaches a few years ago. This is my new small fish community, my 3rd generation (attempt) at clown loaches.

lol $h!t, forgot the number 8 n good luck thing. yeah ur tank was never a true monster tank, but ur tank has that community/schooling with all those fish. sad to hear bout the tig n dats. would love to c how those xantos turn out. I was on the fence of grabbing a xanto n a L273 from john

I am interested to see how these xantos color up as well. The timing was just right, a big bday, and he got then in stock, purchased b4 the 15% expired.
