Looks like one of the Paratilapia sp from Madagascar, perhaps polleni, but too young to tell, there are at least 3 more available, typus, bleekeri and andapa.
They get large, up to 12", the one in the pic below is about 6".
When young they are brown.

Could be stress but usually juvies are that light greenish brown color. As they mature they turn jet black and there is a slight green color between the eyes and that's it. You're gonna love the way he'll look as he matures.

Good info duanes I didn't even know of the other two. Thought it was just polleni and bleekeri. And even that seems to change back and forth.
