So i went to my local fish store today and bought a rhaphiodon vulpinus. kinda wish i would have got the silver arowana but any way just had a couple of questions.
I have done a fare share of reading on these fish but was curious if it is true that i will never be able to ween them off of live foods? Do they really only grow at a rate of 1/2 to 3/4 inches a month?
At the store the fish appeared somewhat skiddish, but i kinda figured that its attitude would change once i got him home in my tank wich is alot larger than the fish store. ( they had two of them and a peacock bass in a 15 gallon). will the fish eventually grow out of his shyness? he is about 5 inches right now.
He appears to be doing ok not swimming much just kinda hanging out arounf the bottom, but has already eatin two guppies? Are these fish very active swimmers? hope someone out there had experience with them and offer me some answers.
